KoL – Family Intervention?
The Kings of Leon’s concert Friday night at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, Texas was cut short due to heat exhaustion – nope, scratch that. It appears there may be a family riff within the Followill family.
Front man and lead singer Caleb Followill informed the crowd that he needed to take a break since he wasn’t feeling good and needed to go throw-up and have a beer. He actually told the audience, “For the record, I’m not drunk – I’m just fucking hot.” and walked off stage.
Ole Caleb never did make it back on stage, but thankfully a little brotherly love in the form of Jared Followill came to the rescue by letting the audience know how sorry they were about the situation. After the show Jared was kind enough to share more information about his brothers situation by tweeting, ” Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words,” he went on to tweet, “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”
Well thank you Jared for sharing. And this help how?
I have a feeling these two will need some major therapy in the near future. It’s too bad a stadium full of fans got caught in the middle of their little family dispute.
Guys! Grow up and get over yourselves. Unless you want to find yourselves disbanded, looking for the next gig, only to have to reunite 20 years from now and start playing at local fairs to make ends meet. It’s just not worth it.
As for Leon, patriarch of the Kings of Leon. Dude! For crying out loud get a handle on your kids!
All joking aside. I hope these very talented kids can get over their “issues” and just have some fun.
I’m just looking forward to seeing these guys at next years fair.
