Shakira posts first public photo of baby Milan

Today Shakira released the first public photograph of baby Milan through UNICEF’s website. The photo is with Milan’s father Gerard Pique kissing his son on the cheek.

The 36-year-old singer announced on several social networking sites that the photo of “my two angels” could be seen on the UNICEF website. In her announcement Shakira writes, “Our baby shower continues this week, so you still have a chance to help underprivileged babies by purchasing a UNICEF Inspired Gift like baby weighing scales or rehydration salts.”

Shakira, a longtime advocate of children, and a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, launched the UNICEF site last month as a virtual baby shower, inviting fans into the couple’s virtual living room. Using social media tools, fans are able to learn about child survival issues and find out how to purchase one of the five suggested ‘Inspired Gifts’ to give children a healthy start into life.

Milan was born on Jan. 22 in Barcelona weighing in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces.
