Tim Curry suffers stroke
Tim Curry, best known for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” has suffered a major stroke and is recovering after collapsing at his home in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Initially there were rumors that the 67-year-old actor couldn’t speak after the fall. However, his agent Marcia Hurwitz told Britain’s Daily Mail that, “Tim is doing great. He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humor.”
No other details about Curry’s condition were available.
Curry became a cult figure for his role as Frank-N-Furter as he played a diabolical mad scientist and transvestite. He went on to maintain a successful career as an actor onstage and on broadway, including voice-over work.
