Rocklin fire destroys house

Police-lightsROCKLIN, Calif. – A Rocklin home burst into flames late Wednesday night after neighbors heard a loud explosion.

According to the Rocklin Fire Department there was a 20-year-old occupant inside the two-story home at the time of the fire and was able to evacuate the building suffering only minor injuries.

Neighbors claimed they heard an explosion just prior to the home catching fire.

Nineteen firefighters were on scene to help extinguish the flames, with the house suffering major damage to at least 80 percent of the home.

Rocklin Fire was called back out to the scene early this morning after receiving reports of smoke emanating from the home.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Protection Status
