Man suspected in rash of car wash thefts

ROSEVILLE, CA – The Roseville Police Department is looking for a man who, they believe, is responsible for a number of thefts in areas immediately off of Interstate 80.

The thefts occurred between 2 and 7 a.m. June 14, when someone broke into coin machines outside car washes in the 1500 block of Eureka Road, the 1800 block of Taylor Road, and a laundromat in the 400 block of Folsom Road.

The thief was able to make off with hundreds of dollars in cash and coins.

The suspect was seen and caught on security video at all three locations. The man is described as a tall, heavyset, white male in his 40s, wearing a black New York Yankees baseball hat, and a black jacket over a gray t-shirt.

The suspect was driving a white late model single-cab pickup, possibly a Chevy 1500 or Silverado model.
