Two burglary suspects arrested in Rocklin
ROCKLIN, CA – A Rocklin resident who was inside his home observed a man leaving his garage with another man on the lookout in the front. What do you do? He had his wife call police while he followed the suspects. Result? Two men arrested.
At around 2:30 Thursday afternoon, a husband and wife on Wildflower Lane heard some noises coming from their garage. When the husband walked out front to check what the noise was, he saw a man exiting his garage with another man standing on the sidewalk in front of his home.
The pair left the scene in a mini-van, so the husband jumped into his own vehicle and followed the subjects while his wife contacted police.
When Rocklin police arrived in the area they pulled over the mini-van and after a brief investigation took 24-year-old Jesse Nieto of Sacramento and 46-year-old Kenneth Modica of Rancho Cordova, into custody.
Update: The Placer County District Attorney has dropped the charges for Jesse Nieto. Modica remains in custody and his bail has been increased. He’s schedule to appear in court on July 1.
Rocklin Police were able to determine that both subjects were in the area placing flyers from a solar company on the front doors of homes.
Both suspects were booked into the Placer County Jail.
