Argument leads to hit and run death of 17-year-old girl

Police-lightsWOODLAND, CA – A teenage girl was struck and killed early this morning, during an argument along Interstate 5 near Woodland.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old girl was a passenger in a 2001 Chevy Impala that had been driving northbound on Interstate 5 near Woodland at approximately 12:30 a.m. Friday, when she and the driver started arguing.

The driver pulled to the side of the road and the girl jumped out of the car and started running north in the lanes of traffic. That’s when an unknown vehicle struck and killed the girl. The driver did not stop.
