Crew finds white powder on JetBlue flight

HARTFORD, CT – Connecticut State Police are investigating the discovery of a “white substance” in the bathroom of a JetBlue plane.

On Monday, flight attendants on a JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Bradley International Airport, just north of Hartford, discovered a mysterious white powder in the bathroom of the jet.

Airport spokesman John Wallace said the powder was discovered in a bathroom shortly before JetBlue Flight 460 was scheduled to land Monday night.

The flight landed without incident and passengers were allowed to deplane.

According to the airline, the plane had 135 passengers and five crew members onboard. As a precautionary measure, two flight attendants were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

JetBlue flights were delayed because of the incident. No other airlines were impacted.

State police are investigating, and the Transportation Security Administration is assisting. Protection Status
