ROCKLIN, CA –A former Whitney High School teacher pleaded guilty on Wednesday to having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student.
Thirty-three-year-old Matthew Scott Yamamoto pleaded guilty to four felony counts with several minor counts being dismissed.
Yamamoto was arrested last September for having a sexual relationship with a student at Whitney Oaks High School. According to reports, days before his arrest the district was scheduled to name him Teacher of the Year.
