On July 17 Jackie Chan will be celebrating La (lay) and Zy’s (zee) third birthday.
Jackie Chan became a proud papa three years ago when his assistant, Victoria, suggested taking a small stuffed animal with him on his worldly travels and taking photos of them together. In the end they could then sell the stuffed animal for charity, but alas, it looks like Jackie Chan is too attached to his two companions to let them go.
La and Zy were born in London, the day after the ‘Karate Kid’ premiere. Chan headed over to the world famous Hamleys and their Build-A-Bear department to start the process.
Chan looked through the various bears and decided on the two panda’s because, according to Chan, “they speak to me. I feel a connection with them.” And panda’s make him laugh.
As part of the building process Chan was able to install small heartbeats inside each bear. He methodically rubbed and kissed the hearts for good luck and then signed each one.
Chan rubbed the heart on his head so they will be smart; his funny bone, because he’s funny; on his stomach, so they will never be hungry and finally on his muscles so they will be strong.
That was three years ago and now it’s time for Chan to celebrate their birthday and you can too. Chan has put up a website just for his kids at JackieChanKids.com and you can also wish La and Zy a happy birthday by sending an email, ecard, photo, or anything else that can be sent via email to LaZy@jackiechan.com
Justin Bieber was performing in London at the O2 Arena and headed backstage with only 4 songs to go where he collapsed.
The 19-year-old was advised to go to the hospital, but refused. After receiving oxygen from emergency personnel he went back out to complete the show, receiving a very robust standing ovation.
While the pop-star was being assisted his representative, Scooter Braun, went out on stage to tell the crowd, “Justin’s got very light breath. The whole show he’s been complaining, He’s backstage with the EMTs and the doctor.”
Bieber was rushed to the hospital immediately following the show. According to TMZ the singer is still there receiving treatment and that he’s in “good spirits and feels OK”
Tweeting his 35 million plus Twitter followers Bieber wrote, “thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love.”
Last year Bieber ran into a glass wall and later collapsed as he was walking down a flight of stairs. He’s also vomited during a number of past concerts.
Is the Biebs pushing himself too hard?
UPDATE: Jeremy King, spokesperson for the O2 Arena said of Bieber’s upcoming concert, “As far as we are concerned everything is on, on, on.” Continuing he explained, “He (Bieber) was treated by our team of medics and after further examination they didn’t find anything more serious or worrying.”
Friday a spokeswoman, who wishes to remain anonymous, said “Justin has been released from the hospital after a check-up and, while he’s feeling a little under the weather, he’s currently planning on going ahead with tonight’s show”
Bieber also posted a photo of himself on Instagram lying in a hospital bed shirtless adding “Gettin better listening to Janice Joplin.”
Savile was an English DJ, television presenter, media personality and charity fundraiser, hosting the BBC television show Jim’ll Fix It, as well as the music chart show Top of the Pops. After his death last year, a large number of people came forward with child abuse allegations, resulting in the investigation dubbed Operation Yewtree.
The report entitled “Giving Victims a Voice” is the collaboration between the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), and will continue to be updated as new victims and crimes are identified.
Authored by David Gray, Detective Superintendent with MPS, along with Peter Watt with NSPCC, the report describes their three prong approach to the investigation; the first prong is offenses believed to have been committed by Jimmy Savile on his own; the second is where victims have said there were other people around Savile who they believe were involved in offending; the third involves accounts from people who have come forward as a result of the publicity about Jimmy Savile, but who have said they were sexually assaulted by people unconnected to him.
Approximately 600 people have come forward and provided information to the investigative team, with the total number of these relating to Savile believed to be around 450, mainly alleging sexual abuse.
Of the victims that were interviewed, 214 criminal offenses have been identified so far, with the earliest incident occurring in 1955. The last reported offense occurred in 2009.
Most of the offenses took place in Leeds and London, Savile’s home town and his main work location.
Many of the situations were identified as being manipulated by Savile and in an opportunistic manner, but there are others where Savile groomed his victims.
So far there have been 126 indecent acts and 34 rapes identified, with 73% being perpetrated against victims under the age of 18.
The report goes on to identify a number of past accusations that tied Savile to child abuse as well as rumors of being a pedophile.
At a press conference earlier today, Scotland Yard’s Commander Peter Spindler said Savile had groomed the nation while using his fame to hide in plain sight. “His offending footprint was vast, predatory and opportunistic,” Spindler said.
X-factor alum Cher Lloyd was recently booed off stage in London, at the annual V Festival at Hylands Park in Chelmsford.
Apparently the 19 year old Lloyd was only two songs into her set when the booing started. She left the stage in tears after someone threw a bottle that contained urine at the “‘Swagger Jagger’ singer.
You read that right ““ a bottle of friggin urine. WTF?
Come on people! Why the hell would someone throw a bottle of urine at somebody like Cher Lloyd, who is all of 5 foot nothing. Actually, what would make someone throw a bottle of urine at anyone?
The bigger question is why the hell was someone toting around a bottle of urine?
After a few minutes Lloyd came back out and told the crowd;
“It’s hard enough being up here, but it’s not nice having bottles of piss chucked at you.”
Taking to Twitter after the show Lloyd wrote, “Thank you so much for all the nice messages, shame that a couple of people had to ruin it. Unfortunately a glass bottle got thrown at me on stage. Tomorrow is another day, big love to my brats!!!”
Her fans are referred to as Brats.
Last year Lloyd admitted that she was afraid to leave her house due to the amount of negative criticism she was receiving. At the time she was quoted as saying, “I know people think I’m a bitch but they don’t realize I put on a massive front. When I go home and close the door I break down, phone my mum and dad and cry. It got to the point when I thought ‘Why am I doing this?’”
This year’s V Festival was headlined by The Stone Roses and The Killers, with other bands including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Enemy, Example, Miles Kane and Frank Turner.
To whoever threw the bottle of urine ““ Piss off you wanker!
Brit teen pop sensation Cher Lloyd is putting the finishing flourishes on her highly anticipated U.S. debut, Sticks + Stones, which now has a new confirmed release date of October 2nd, push back from a September release date. The perky perfectionist wanted to ensure that no details were missed on Sticks + Stones for her fanatical U.S. fans. The American version of Sticks + Stones, released via Epic Records/Syco, will vary slightly from the 2011 U.K. version, which debuted at #4 in the U.K. The US album includes never-before-heard songs, as well as a few surprise guests. Cher explains that Sticks + Stones is “like a jukebox! Lots of different sounds and no two songs sound the same. I’ve put a lot into the album.”
Cher will make her second major U.S. TV appearance on the Today Show August 30th.
Clearly, the pint-sized pop-star is winning over U.S. fans by the masses, as further proven by her afternoon of fan-packed mayhem during a recent visit to West Hollywood’s Millions of Milkshakes. Police had to intervene as several thousand of Cher’s beloved “Brats” mobbed the streets for a glimpse of the saucy teen singer. (Take a look at the Brat Attack madness here: http://bit.ly/Nm5bBR) Cher’s mouth-watering milkshake is made from Oreos, marshmallows, banana, and caramel sauce–topped with whipped cream and a cherry–and, in homage to her beloved fans, the sweet treat is called the Brat Attack.
For those who can’t get enough from their new fave, Cher entertains more than two million Twitter followers who hang on her every word. And as Cher takes care to make sure every detail is perfect for the American release of Sticks + Stones in preparation for its October 2nd release, she gushes, “I can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs in full.” Fortunately for her Brats, the wait is almost over!
Cher Lloyd continued her radio show promo tour in support of her upcoming album Sticks and Stones, which is due out in September. Stopping at the Roseville Galleria she entertained close to 2,000 brats (as her fans are referred to).
Sacramento radio station 107.9 The End hosted the event with Christopher K., Dan Mason, Ashley Nickels, and the morning Wake Up Call’s Katie, Jason, and Gavin.
Chris asked the crowd how long they had been waiting, with some in the crowd screaming 8 hours!
As the mostly young female audience waited patiently for Lloyd, they were entertained by Sing Inc. Pop Academy, as an all-female crew took the stage singing a variety of hits such as Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Good Girl,” and One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.”
The screaming started in earnest as the 19 year old Lloyd made her way to the stage from her, completely wrapped in all things Cher Lloyd, tour bus.
Starting off her brief acoustical set with Usher’s “OMG,” the brats made certain she knew they were there as they screamed, “‘I love you Cher’. After her first song Lloyd asked the crowd, “Hello, how are you?” which only caused the screams to jump up a few decibels.
Lloyd continued on with only two more songs “Superhero” and “I Want You Back.’ During “I Want You Back,” you could hear most of the crowd singing and doing some serious grunting along with Lloyd.
As she finished her set Chris asked her a number of questions including how many tattoos she has, which is currently a total of 20, but she’s looking to do a complete sleeve on her arm.
You can see videos of her at the Galleria and her interview with Chris at The End Online.
You can pre-order her new CD due out on September 18th
