In a press release today, Maroon 5’s front man Adam Levine and ID Perfumes announced the release of Levine’s signature line of fragrances for both men and women.
According to “The Voice” coach, “I have been extremely passionate about this fragrance collection from the beginning. I find the things that inspire me in my everyday surroundings and express who I am as a person, which led me to the creative process of developing these scents. My goal was to create a line for men and women that is complex in its notes yet intriguing and invigorating,” Levene wrote in a statement.
The bottle is in the shape of an old style microphone, with a unique silver weighted mesh cap complete with a black stem resembling the wire leading to the microphone.
The fragrances will be sold in 1.0, 1.7, and 3.4 fl. oz. sizes at suggested retail prices of $35, $45, and $65, respectively. The line will initially be available at Macy’s and Macys.com in the US. It will also be available at Shopper’s Drug Mart in Canada. There are plans to extend distribution throughout the year.
To kick off the launch of his new line of fragrances, Levine will appear at Macy’s Century City in Los Angeles this Thursday, Feb. 7 and and Macy’s Herald Square in New York next Friday, Feb. 15.
Based on the description of the men’s Eau De toilette it sounds more like something you would want to drink, as it has a “vibrant rush of mandarin, grapefruit, and lemongrass,” Levine did add some sandalwood and cedarwood fragrances to give it a more, “intensely masculine fragrance.”
The women’s Eau de Parfum boasts “an undeniably sexy signature”, with a hint of jasmine, rose, and vanilla, mixed with a healthy amount of a floral woody scent.
Levine has been known to branch out musically in the past with the likes of Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Gym Class heroes. This is the first time he has decided to branch out into other areas outside of music, following other super stars like Lady Gaga and Beyonce, who release their own fragrances. This makes good business sense as Maroon 5’s new album continues to climb the charts, and Levine’s popularity continues to soar as coach on the hit television show “The Voice.”
Pandora, PepsiCo Inc. and The Recording Academy announced an original content video series showcasing the 54th GRAMMY Best New Artist nominees.
The Best New Artist video series includes exclusive interviews with the Band Perry, Bon Iver, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, and Skrillex. During the interviews, the artists discuss the evolution of their careers, share their excitement surrounding their Best New Artist nomination and describe their anticipation for the awards show.
“To commemorate the excitement for Music’s Biggest Night with the launch of a dozen GRAMMY genre stations and the first-ever Best New Artist video series is exciting,” said Evan Greene, Chief Marketing Officer, The Recording Academy. “We were pleased to extend this innovative program to Pandora users through our partnership with Pepsi.”
The partnership also offers music fans a GRAMMY mixtape, which can be found at www.pandora.com/pepsigrammymusicand includes songs from nominees and newcomers in various 54th GRAMMY Awards categories.

The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held Sunday, Feb. 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
The GRAMMY genre stations are based on official GRAMMY categories, ranging from country to comedy, and spotlight current and past GRAMMY-nominated artists. The new GRAMMY genre stations include:
